You can make the world of difference

HOST A MOVIE NIGHT!

DvdHelp spread the word by organising a night with friends to watch a movie, and include SAFE's LovePigs DVD. The first step to helping animals is to educate yourself and others about animal cruelty. When it comes down to it that's what SAFE's new pig DVD is all about! Narrated by award-winning actor Robyn Malcolm, the 10-minute documentary style presentation presents compelling arguments against factory farming. Robyn takes us through how pregnant sows are cruelly treated inside sow stalls and farrowing crates and explains just what happens to the young piglets destined to become pork.

MAKE YOUR HOUSE PIG FRIENDLY!

piggies

Make your household pork free! It might be a challenge but it’s a fantastic way to spare pigs from suffering! At the very least, have a pork-free week once a month! Have a Babe night out! Invite your friends over to watch the pig-loving movie Babe. La-la-la-!!

SPEAKING A GOOD WORD!

Choose ya words wisely! Using phrases like “she’s a pig”, “eats like a pig” and “filthy pig” are usually meant to be derogatory to the person spoken to, but they are demeaning to pigs. Why not be kind to your friends and pigs!

VISIT YOUR MP

We are told that MPs appreciate personal visits to hear local concerns. Why not visit your MP and ask them what they can do to help pigs. Talking to an MP does take courage but it is extremely important. Don’t be shy, give it a go. SAFE can provide further information for you or the MP if required. But remember just being able to convey why you are opposed to intensive pig farming to an MP is just as important. MPs, like most people, often know very little about factory farming and are usually shocked when told the facts.
